Where every being has the opportunity to thrive.
The Spinner Foundation supports animal sanctuaries, children’s services, and medical causes — in partnership with the people doing the work on the ground.
Inside the stables — Catskill Animal Sanctuary, Saugerties NY.
We give to organizations that serve the vulnerable with care, dignity, and follow-through.
We support animal sanctuaries, children’s services, and medical causes — three pillars that have guided our giving since the family began this work in earnest.
We don’t take a cut. We don’t keep an endowment. Every gift gets placed by hand, in conversation with the people on the ground.
Where we go to work.
Animals
Sanctuaries, shelters, and rescue programs — from horses recovering from neglect to working dogs paired with veterans.
Children & Families
Family-services nonprofits that protect a child’s right to a safe and healthy start — reducing isolation, preventing harm.
Medical
Research, treatment, and the institutions that deliver it — including a named hospital wing in our home state of Connecticut.
Meet Rowdy.
A gentle soul, rescued from an animal hoarding situation in Saratoga, New York, alongside thirteen other horses.
When Rowdy arrived at Catskill Animal Sanctuary, he was several hundred pounds underweight, suffering from rain rot, and had severely neglected hooves. Today, he is one of the horses we sponsor — part of a 150-acre Hudson Valley refuge that has rescued over 5,000 animals in twenty-five years.
“Life is life — whether in a cat, or dog, or man. The idea of difference is a human conception for man’s own advantage.” Sri Aurobindo

What the giving adds up to.
Know an organization we should know?
The foundation is always open to new partners across all three pillars — animals, children & families, and medical causes. If you know of an organization doing the work, we’d love to hear about them.
